Getting ready for Drawer Mk.4

I had Drawer Mk.3 for a while and I think it is time to make my nest generation drawing machine.
Below is a family photo of Drawer series Drawing Machine. From the left are Drawer Mk.1 to the white box on the very right is the frame of Drawer Mk.4.

This motor might be too small. So i decided to minimize the weight as much as possible.

This is what I have so far.  You are welcome the leave comments about your opinion on how Drawer Mk.4 is going to be.

Introducing the Drawer Mk.3

I decided to add more place to hold drawing utensils on my drawing machine.

As you can see in the photo below, the place to hold pens increase from 4 to 11. I figure this will

increase the speed of drawing. With four pen, a pating need about 20 to 40 min.

I have not finished it yet, but it will be done either tomorrow or the weekend.

If you have any question or thoughts, comments are always welcome.

Improvement On Drawer Mk.3

I add a second motor on Drawer Mk.3 hope to prevent it from stuck in one place. The improvement turned out to be pretty good. It did not get stuck at all during today's test.

Below is the result.

Drawer Mk.3

After conducted a serious test I designed my next generation drawing machine.  The Drawer Mk.3. It is bigger, more stable and able to complete larger painting.

Here are couple photos of it.

Drawer Mk.3 will not tipped over easily as Mk.2.
Here is a video of it in action.

This is the final product.  Looks good but still far from good enough.

The Drawer Mk.3 still have a few bugs. Further test is need.

Drawer Mk.2

02-22-2015

After I decided to apply Risd for my University (College), I started trying to create a drawing machine. My idea is simple. Use vibration to create movement which will move the drawing tool on the machine and machine itself.
I was inspired by THIS. Use motor to create vibration that move a ball of pencil that leave marks on the paper.     My Drawing Machine is basically a improvement on the one in the link. My goal is to create a drawing machine that able to create draw in a variety if media and require only some human supervision.

This is my first prototype. Drawer Mk1. Can only use pencil. >_<#(_)/~~
It is very small and slow. It fallen apart on the first try, so I created my second prototype on the same day.

This is my second drawing machine prototype. Drawer Mk.2

Bigger and stable. Able to attach up to 4 pen/pencil/maker. Power by one 9V battery.

I tried it out and it actually works. Here is some painting created though Drawer Mk.2.

Untitled  (Drawing Machine load out: a red pen, a black pen, a black point ball pen and a yellow highlighter) I got a bit water in the center by accident.
